Well, as I mentioned earlier you don’t normally need any high level skills to develop and maintain your own website, nor do you need a deep wallet to pay a web designer to set it all up and maintain it for you. They come with brand awareness built in - millions of people are using them and are confident in their ability to deliver already, so you don’t have the marketing worries that a new website creates either.
All in all, if you are just starting out and just want to test your idea to see if there is a market for you work, product or service, these are definitely the services to use.
